Ashkelon football tournament held in memory of residents killed in the Swords of Iron war

This year the tournament was dedicated to the memory of five city residents killed in the Swords of Iron war: Police Lieutenant Colonel Avi Amar, Sergeant Mara Alem, Sergeant Avraham Obgayin, Lieutenant Shai Ayalli and Sergeant Shahar Manuav.

The goal of the tournament is to strengthen ties, dialogue and trust between young people and the police. The main message of the event is "Zero tolerance for violence".

In recent years the tournament has also become a memorial project dedicated to preserving the legacy of the fallen and promoting the values of unity, tolerance, leadership, resilience and hope.

The event was held with the participation of the Ashkelon municipality sports and youth departments, the Ashkelon police, the Community Safety Authority, youth centers and youth movements.
