According to Ashkelon Municipality, the club received repeated notices and additional extensions from the municipality and its professional departments. However, the agreement to use city facilities has still not been signed, and the required payments have not been settled.

Under the court ruling in the case between the club and the municipality, the facilities may not be used without proper arrangements and payment. The club was required to settle the matter by Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 12:00. The arrangements had not been completed by that deadline.

The municipality said that all other clubs and sports organizations in the city had met the requirements; Maccabi Ashkelon is the exception. It said it is acting out of responsibility for the safety of children and teenagers and in accordance with the court ruling, and expressed hope that the club will meet the requirements soon.
