Ashkelon updates digital residency certificate for tax benefit

Ashkelon Municipality has announced an updated digital residency certificate form. The document is intended for residents applying for the city’s tax benefit and now includes additional details: the water-payer information and the educational institution.

According to the municipality, tens of thousands of residency certificates have already been issued by early July, and many residents are already using the tax benefit, including retroactively from the beginning of 2026. The updated form is meant to make it easier to submit the certificate where expanded details are required.

To complete the online request, residents should prepare their payer number and property number. After the details are entered and the form is submitted, a signed digital certificate is sent directly to the resident’s email address.

For questions about using the tax benefit, the municipality refers residents to its dedicated support line at *2660. The line operates from 09:00 to 14:00. Before submitting documents, residents should check the requirements of the body requesting the certificate and use the official municipal link.
