Construction begins on third bridge connecting Ir HaYain in Ashkelon
Construction has begun on a third bridge in Ashkelon, connecting the Ir HaYain neighborhood to the Ariel Sharon–Yitzhak Shamir route. The Ashkelon Municipality announced the project.
The new bridge will be about half a kilometer long. It will have two traffic lanes in each direction, bicycle paths, sidewalks and landscaping.
According to the municipality, construction follows the opening of the Amphorae Bridge and is taking place alongside work on the Kadesh Bridge. The new bridge is expected to be completed in February 2028.
