Man found without signs of life on Yafe Nof Street in Ashkelon

Tonight at around 01:32, MDA's 101 emergency line received a report of a man who had apparently been hurt in a violent incident on Yafe Nof Street in Ashkelon.

Medics found a man of about 30 unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. After resuscitation efforts, they were forced to pronounce him dead. MDA paramedic Hila Bizui said the man was lying on the sidewalk and had apparently been involved in a violent incident.

Police later clarified that, contrary to published reports, there is currently no suspicion of a criminal incident. The body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine to determine the circumstances of death.
