Free parking for 820 cars to open near Ashkelon railway station
Construction of the first car park next to Ashkelon railway station is complete, and it is expected to open after the Tishrei holidays. Together with a second car park, they will hold about 820 cars.

Construction of the first car park next to Ashkelon railway station has been completed. It is expected to open after the Tishrei holidays. Parking will be free, and construction of a second car park will begin immediately after it opens.
In total, the two car parks will hold about 820 cars on an area of roughly 25 dunams. The project also includes new lighting, infrastructure work, landscaping and pedestrian paths to the station.
The project is being carried out jointly by Ashkelon Municipality and Israel Railways.
