Ashkelon lives across dozens of channels: city news, event announcements, business recommendations, vacancies, requests for help and useful addresses often spread through chats and social networks. This is fast, but not always convenient: important information gets lost, repeated and often becomes hard to find a week or a month later.

Ashkelon.org.il is being created as a single entry point into city life. The portal will collect materials that help residents make simple decisions: what has changed in the city, where to go, whom to contact, where to find a service, a job or an event close to home.

For residents, the main value is saving time. Instead of searching across different chats, a person will be able to open one city portal and see news, events, a business directory, vacancies and useful local guides. The information should be clear, structured and verifiable.

For local businesses, the portal becomes an additional storefront. A company page can bring together a service description, work area, contacts, photos, advantages and current offers. Such a page helps explain what the business does and gives residents a clear path to get in touch.

A separate direction is the city events calendar. Organizers will be able to send information about concerts, fairs, children’s programmes, workshops and local meetings. For residents, this is a convenient way to see in advance what is happening in Ashkelon; for organizers, it adds visibility.
