Ashkelon: Night Works, Holiday Hours and Food Trucks
Night work will take place in Ashkelon on 7 September from 22:00 to 05:00 between Nisan and Eli Cohen streets. Residents should also check municipal office closures and waste-collection times for Rosh Hashanah; the first change begins on the evening of 10 September.
Tonight, 7 September, work on the section between Nisan and Eli Cohen streets is scheduled from 22:00 to 05:00. The municipality asks drivers to proceed carefully and use alternative routes.
Municipal offices will be closed from 11 through 13 September and reopen on 14 September. Waste collection before Rosh Hashanah begins on 10 September at 22:00, and post-holiday collection resumes on 13 September at 22:00. Residents should put out waste beforehand; rubbish and garden waste must not be placed outside on the eve of the holiday.
The municipal rights-support centre will not receive visitors from 9 September; temporary reception is scheduled for 13 September, 10:00–13:00, at Beit HaMitnadev, 18 Yaakov Gruper Street. Emergency line 106 and online municipal services will remain available.
Food trucks in designated licensed promenade areas may now operate throughout the year rather than only in summer.
